DIBX 2026, the Defense Industrial Base Accelerator, runs August 25-27 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. It is built for small and mid-size manufacturers in the defense industrial base, not for 40-foot prime contractor booths.

What DIBX is

The event is hosted around the DIB Consortium and the Department of Defense's small-business engagement work. The point of the floor is conversations with program offices, other manufacturers, and capital that already work with the industrial base. Who it is for

Shops that already have a CAGE code, SAM.gov registration, and a real manufacturing or sourcing story. If you machine, fabricate, or coordinate build-to-print work and you want one week of face time with the people who actually buy or partner, this is that week.

If you only get one conversation

Most small shops cannot work the whole hall. Pick one:

• A program office that already buys what you make
• Another manufacturer that has a line and needs a qualified second source
• An investor or accelerator that already understands defense timelines

There is no universal right answer. The wrong answer is collecting badges and going home with no next step.

What to bring

A one-to-three page capability statement (PDF, under 1MB), your CAGE code, and a clear sentence about what you actually make vs. what you broker. Do not bring a priced catalog.

This week vs. later this fall

DIBX is this week in Philadelphia. AUSA is October 12-14 in Washington, D.C. NASGW is October 13-15 in Phoenix. The Dayton Defense and Aerospace Forum is September 21 at Wright State University. Those are different rooms. Do not treat them as the same trip.
